What makes a Watermark Kid? Watermark Kids are committed to expressing themselves and making a difference in the world. They range in age from 6 to 22, and are of every shape, size and color. They are full of heart, compassion, vision and spirit. How do I become a Watermark Kid?
Kids who are underserved are encouraged to apply for project funding to express their creativity, vision, spirit, etc. Youth who would not be considered underserved are encouraged to submit projects which help other kids, thereby expressing their leadership or compassion. How are Watermark for Kids projects funded? These projects are accomplished through the generosity of like minded businesses and individuals. Watermark associates give generously through voluntary payroll deductions and contribute through community fundraisers and special events. Inspiring Watermark residents are incredibly motivated to give back to youth in their communities and to provide a valuable inter-generational experience whenever possible. How are beneficiaries determined? Awards are based on the ability to make a meaningful impact on the life of the recipient. Our commitment is to enable kids to thrive and recipients are selected accordingly. Does Watermark for Kids donate to other nonprofit organizations? Watermark for Kids does not seek to donate to other organizations, but to provide a personal experience for individual kids. How can I help? Donate! Donate your time, services, or funds. Because our administrative costs are underwritten by corporate donations from Watermark Retirement Communities, you can rest assured that 100% of your donation will directly benefit Watermark Kids.
